Activate your licence
Your licence key arrives by email right after checkout. It looks like XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. Each plug-in has its own key.
- Open the plug-in in your DAW and click the status light at the top of the faceplate. It reads Trial: N days left or Trial ended: activate.
- Paste your licence key into the field and click Activate. This needs an internet connection once.
- The status light turns green and reads Licensed. Every copy of that plug-in in every project on this computer is now activated.
Moving to a new computer
Each licence works on two computers at a time. To move it, open the licence panel on the old computer and click Deactivate this computer, then activate on the new one.
If the old computer is gone, email us your licence key and we will free up the activation. Reinstalling the plug-in or your operating system on the same computer does not use up an activation.
Working offline
After activation the plug-in works without an internet connection. About once a month, when you are online, it quietly confirms the licence. If it cannot reach the server it keeps working, and tries again later.
If activation does not work
"That licence key was not found"
Copy the key again from your order email, including the dashes.
"This licence key is not for Ember Drums" (or Ember Clip)
Each plug-in has its own key. Use the key from the order for the plug-in you are activating.
"This licence is already active on the maximum number of computers"
Deactivate one of your other computers first, or email us and we will reset it.
"Couldn't reach the licence server"
Check your internet connection. Firewalls and some DAWs' network settings can block plug-ins; allow your DAW to reach emberaudiolabs.com and try again.
"This licence key has been disabled"
This happens after a refund or a chargeback. If you think it is a mistake, email us with your order number.
